From 10/95 production a new adjustable stop for the rear lid, Part No.: 1H5 827 499 has been installed.

Removing





- Remove screw -1- and washer -2-.

- Remove adjustable stop -4- and guide bolt -5-.

- Remove base -3-.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

Adjusting

- Open rear lid and slightly loosen screw -1-.

- Close rear lid carefully, and press lightly to align to fender in closed position.

- Open rear lid and tighten screw -1-.

- Verify adjustment after closing rear lid.
