Fluid - Differential: Service and Repair

Final drive oil level, checking:

Speedometer Drive:

- Remove speedometer drive and wipe off with a non-fluffy cloth.

- Install speedometer drive and remove; measure oil level.

^ Oil level must be between the min and max marking.

- If necessary, add gear oil (specification G50, SAE 75W90).

Note:

^ The quantity of oil between the min and max markings is 0.1 liter.

^ Excess oil poured in can be extracted with VAG 1358 A.

- Install speedometer drive.
