Engine Speed Governor: Testing and Inspection

Engine Speed (RPM) Limiter, checking

^ Engine oil temperature at least 60°C (140°F)
^ Closed Throttle Position (CPT) Switch (F60) OK
^ Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62) OK


- Remove air intake adapter housing.




- Start engine and let idle.

- Watch injector spray formation.

- Briefly accelerate above 3000 RPM and release throttle lever.

^ Spray must briefly cut out
