Automatic Transmission 096 - New dipstick for checking fluid level

Access to the ATF dipstick for checking the fluid level has been improved with a new dipstick and filler pipe introduced as a running change.

The new dipstick (with a red handle) and the corresponding new filler pipe have been installed as of transmission manufacturing date 24 O5 3.









The manufacturing date is stamped into the top of the bellhousing (arrow 1).





If replacement of either the dipstick or the filler pipe is necessary, ensure that the different versions are not intermixed.

Fill capacities and fluid level checking procedures are not affected by the change.
