Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

CONDENSER, REMOVING/INSTALLING





1 Condenser

2 Radiator

3 Seal
- Install seal around entire circumference of condenser between condenser (1) and radiator (2).

4 Bolt - M8
- 6 Nm (53 in. lb)

5 Self tapping screw 6.3 X 27
- 6 Nm(53 in.lb)

6 Dishedwasher

7 Rubberwasher
- secured in evaporator bracket

8 Shouldered sleeve

9 Locknut-M6
- 6 Nm (53 in.lb)

10 Rubberwasher

11 Condenser mounting hole

12 - Rubber washer

Removing

- Obtain radio security code and disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

- Remove battery.

- Discharge A/C refrigerant system.

- Remove front lock support and grille. Service and Repair

- Remove front bumper. Service and Repair

- Remove air deflectors.

- Remove refrigerant lines from condenser (1) and plug all open line connections.

- Remove condenser.

- Install in reverse order of removal.
