Diesel
- Remove the instrument cluster. Service and Repair Instrument Panel- Remove the right-side lower instrument panel tray where applicable by removing the screws.
- Pry out the left, center, and right ventilation grilles from their housings, then remove the retaining screws and the housings.
- Remove the speaker grilles and, if applicable, the speakers.
- Remove the grille retaining screw and slide the grille toward the rear of the car. The screw is covered by a full-length trim piece.
- Remove the cold start handle from the cold start cable.
- Pry out the glove box light assembly and remove its wiring connector.
- Remove the glove box by removing the screws around its rim.
- Remove the drip tray from the base of the windshield in the engine compartment.
- Remove instrument panel retaining screws (B) and (C), and retaining nuts (A). Access nuts from the engine compartment. Nuts are located in the plenum.
- Partially pull the instrument panel away from the body.
- Remove any other electrical connections to the panel, and then pull it from the vehicle.
NOTE: Installation is the reverse of removal observing the following:
^ Make sure that the sealing washers on the instrument panel studs are in place as shown before the panel is installed.
^ Check all electrical connections.
