Clutch Cable: Service and Repair

Clutch Cable Adjusting Sleeve:

REMOVAL
1. Loosen the top adjusting sleeve lock-nut to relieve cable tension (arrow).
2. Unhook the cable end from the clutch release lever and pull it through the support bracket.
3. From the passenger compartment, unhook the cable end from the top of the clutch pedal.
4. From the engine compartment side, pull the cable through the firewall.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the clutch cable in the reverse order of removal.
2. Adjust the clutch cable to proper specifications. Adjustments
3. Depress the clutch pedal several times after cable installation to ensure proper clutch operation.
