Engine Idles Too Fast

Check the following:

1. Auxiliary air regulator hoses have cuts or holes

2. Accelerator pedal or throttle cable binding.
Accelerator Pedal
Also Throttle Cable/Linkage

3. Throttle valve binding Throttle Body

4. Auxiliary air regulator faulty. Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed)

5. Idle boost valve faulty Digifant I

6. Air leaking past throttle valve

7. Coolant temperature sensor and wiring. For testing procedure, see Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Coolant Temperature Sensor.
