1990/91 Volkswagen Corrado Check/Replace Fuel Pump Unit

Dear Volkswagen Dealer:

This is to inform you of the initiation of a pre-delivery/recall campaign involving some 1990 and 1991 model Volkswagen Corrado vehicles. The vehicles affected are within the following vehicle identification number range:

WVWDB450_LK005736 - WVWDB450_MK002868

Problem Description

It is possible that the fuel pump, located in the fuel tank, could become loose resulting in reduced fuel flow.

Remedial Action

Check and replace, if necessary, gas tank fuel pump unit.

Customer Notification

Volkswagen United States, Inc. will inform all known owners of affected vehicles directly by first class mail on or about May 9, 1991. A copy of the owner notification letter is enclosed for your information.

We will furnish you with a computer printed list of vehicles involved in this recall and located within your dealership's primary area of influence.
