Subject: SERVICE ACTION CAMPAIGN QU 1990 MODEL VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO AFFIX LABEL

Dear Volkswagen Dealer:

This is to inform you of the initiation of a service action campaign involving some 1990 California model Volkswagen Corrado vehicles. The vehicles involved are within the following vehicle identification number range:

WVW___50_LK000095 - WVW___50_LK021846

Problem Description Volkswagen has determined that some 1990 California model Volkswagen Corrado vehicles were inadvertently manufactured without the "OBD Exempt" label as required by California Regulations.



Remedial Action

Each affected vehicle is required to be retrofitted with the label. Volkswagen will notify all known owners on or about August 17, 1990 as per attached copy of a notification letter.

Each letter will have enclosed the required label installation instructions and an "Owner

Reply Card". Owners will be asked to affix the label themselves or seek the help of an authorized Volkswagen dealer. The self-addressed "Owner Reply Card" is used to confirm that the service action has been completed.
Inventory Vehicles Please ensure that each aff ected vehicle in your inventory will be corrected prior to sale.

We will supply one label for each individual vehicle identification number.

Time Allowance The time necessary for a dealer to affix the label is 10 T.U.
