Modified engine oil dipstick (Supercedes 89-01, dated August 31, 1989)



Old version

A round rod with 1.0 L (approx. 1.0 qt.) difference between MAX and MIN.




New version

A flat rod with 0.75 (approx. .79 qt.) difference between MAX and MIN.


CAUTION

Do NOT exceed the MAX marking. Excess oil may be drawn in through the crankcase breather into the exhaust system. The oil would then burn in the catalytic converter and cause damage.
