DRIVER'S SIDE

1. Ensure connection is good at speed sensor electrical connector No. 22, Fig. 2.
2. Turn ignition off.
3. Connect multimeter to terminal No. 5, and No. 23, of the ABS 35-pin connector.
4. Set multimeter to 2K Ohm scale. If reading is not 1.04-1.16K ohms, proceed as follows:
a. Disconnect and measure resistance at speed sensor connector No. 22.
b. If reading is not as specified in step 4, replace the speed sensor.
c. If reading is as specified in step 4, check continuity between speed sensor end of harness and terminal No. 5, and No. 23, of the ABS 35-pin connector.
d. If no open circuits are found, replace ABS control unit harness.

PASSENGER'S SIDE

1. Ensure connection is good at speed sensor electrical connector No. 20, Fig. 2.
2. Turn ignition off.
3. Connect multimeter to terminal No. 7, and No. 25, of the ABS 35-pin connector.
4. Set multimeter to 2K Ohm scale, if reading is not 1.04-1.16K ohms, proceed as follows:
a. Disconnect and measure resistance at speed sensor connector No. 20.
b. If reading is not as specified in step 4, replace the speed sensor.
c. If reading is as specified in step 4, check continuity between speed sensor end of harness and terminal No. 7, and No. 25, of the ABS 35-pin connector.
