ABS Relay Operation

1. Turn ignition on.
2. Jumper the ABS 35-pin connector terminal No. 2 to No. 8.
3. Connect multimeter positive probe to terminal No. 3, and negative probe to terminal No. 1 of the ABS 35-pin connector.
4. Set multimeter to 20 DCV scale. If meter does not read a minimum of 10 volts DC, remove jumper wire and the ABS relay, then check the following:
a. ABS solenoid valves fuse.
b. Continuity between fuse/relay panel ABS contact No. 8/87 and battery positive terminal.
c. If no open circuits are found, replace the ABS relay.
