ABS Relay Continuity

STEP 1

1. Turn ignition off.
2. Connect multimeter to terminal No. 1 and No. 3 of the ABS 35-pin connector.
3. Set multimeter to Ohm scale. If meter does not read continuity, remove the ABS relay, then check the following:
a. Continuity between contact No. 3 and ABS relay connector No. 2/30.
b. Continuity between fuse/relay panel ABS relay contact No. 5/87a and ground.
c. If no open circuits are found, replace the ABS relay.

STEP 2

1. Turn ignition off.
2. Connect multimeter to terminal No. 1, and No. 20, of the ABS 35-pin connector.
3. Set multimeter to Ohm scale. If meter does not read continuity, remove the ABS relay, then check the following:
a. Continuity between fuse/relay panel ABS relay connector No. 2/30 and contact No. 20.
b. If no open circuits are found, replace the ABS relay.
