Load Compensator: Adjustments

Brake pressure regulator is mounted on body, and operated by a spring attached to the rear axle.
1. Remove bleeder screw on right front caliper and connect gauge US 1016 or equivalent.
2. Remove bleeder screw on left rear wheel cylinder/caliper and connect gauge US 1016 or equivalent.
3. Bleed both hoses and gauges with bleeding screws on gauges, then depress brake pedal firmly several times.
4. Depress brake pedal until gauge of right front caliper reads 797 psi. Gauge of left rear wheel cylinder/caliper must read 565-623 psi.
5. Increase pressure to brake pedal until gauge of right front caliper reads 1450 psi. Gauge of left rear wheel cylinder/caliper must read 739-826 psi.
6. Repeat procedure for other brake circuit.
7. If specifications are not obtained, replace brake pressure regulator.
8. Disconnect pressure gauges and bleed brakes as described previously.
