Exhaust noise - manifold leak


Leaks between exhaust manifold and cylinder head can be caused by broken studs in the area of exhaust ports #1 and/or #5.

To repair the leak:

^ Replace both studs on exhaust ports #1 and #5.

^ Use new tempered studs with washers and hex nuts:

Part Numbers Stud N 901 889 01 Washer N 900 955 01 Hex Nut N 902 002 01

^ Check exhaust manifold for warpage, resurface if necessary. Do not replace.
