Beginning in January 1985, hydraulic front engine mounts have been installed in production in some gasoline and diesel vehicles..
The front engine mount was formerly a bonded rubber bushing type.
The new mount provides the body with more isolation from engine vibrations.
Vehicles built prior to introduction of the new mount may be retrofitted with the hydraulic mount complete with bracket.
Mounting bolts are to be tightened according to the following specifications:
b 30 N-m (22 ft.lbs.) e 60 N-m (44 ft.lbs.) f 70 N-m (52 ft.lbs.)
