If a Child Restraint System requires the use of a tether strap, the following anchor points are recommended.. Always follow the instructions provided by the Child Restraint System manufacturer.
Note
The following instructions describe rear seat right side installation. The same instructions apply to the left side.
- pull back carpeting on side shelf
- center punch, point where dimension "e" 451 mm (17-3/4 in.) and dimension "f" 30 mm (13/16 in.) intersect
- drill 8.5 mm (11/32 in.) hole at intersection
- cut 20 mm (13/16 in.) hole in carpeting over drilled hole
- glue carpet back onto shelf
- mount anchor fitting as shown in fig. 68-291a

7 - Washer N 011 670.11
8 - Hex Nut N 011 008.8
CAUTION
If the mounting hardware provided with the child seat does not fit the anchor mounting; contact the child seat manufacturer for suitable parts.
All holes should be de-burred and sealed with a suitable filler, e.g. paint or RTV silicone sealant.
