Steering Wheel: Service and Repair: Overview

1 - Steering wheel
2 - Hex nut 67 Nm
3 - Torx screw 5 Nm
4 - Securing plate
5 - Airbag unit
6 - Connector
7 - Return spring with slip ring

Removing
^ Turn steering wheel to center position (wheels in straight-ahead position).

Vehicles with ESP





^ Disconnect connector -1- from steering angle sensor.

Continuation for all vehicles
^ Remove hex nut - 2 - and pull steering wheel off of steering column.

Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal.
