Body Flange And/Or Window Flange On Door, Preparing







- Cut back remaining adhesive material on body flange to 1 to 2 mm (1/32 to 5/64 in.) height with electric cutting tool VAG 1561 and scraping knife VAG 1561/8.

NOTE: Do not remove adhesive completely. It is used as a base for new adhesive material.

CAUTION: Do not prime or activate adhesive surface or treat it with cleaning solution. Keep adhesive surface dirt and grease free.

Exception:
If gluing will not take place immediately after cutting back, remaining residual material must be activated with activator AMV 181 800 02 or equivalent.

- If body flange at area of glass is being worked on or replaced flange must be cleaned and primed after painting.
