On Board Diagnostic (OBD), initiating

Safety precautions

WARNING:
^ You must always secure testing and measuring equipment on the rear seat.
^ When vehicle is being driven, only a passenger can operate this equipment.

Test conditions:
^ Selector lever in position "P" and parking brake applied.
^ Vehicle voltage supply in order.
^ Fuses 14 and 21 in order.
^ Check Ground connections for transmission:
^ Check Ground connections for corrosion and poor contact; repair if necessary.
^ Ground connection point is located in engine compartment, left below battery.
^ Check battery Ground strap and Ground strap between battery and transmission.
