Component Notes And Information

NOTE:
^ During service procedures, refer to the illustration above and the information below.
^ After performing work on the exhaust system, ensure that the system is not under tension and that there is sufficient clearance to the body.
^ If necessary loosen clamps and mufflers and align exhaust pipes such that there is sufficient clearance to the body over the full length of the exhaust and the supports are uniformly loaded.
^ Replace self-locking nuts

Muffler System And Attachments, Removing And Installing

NOTE: Align exhaust system longitudinally to maintain dimensions -a- and -b-.

1 Connection from Three-Way catalyst
2 Clamp
3 System Mounting Nuts and Bolts
- Tighten to: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
- Always replace
4 Heat shield
5 Pop rivet
6 Dimension -b-
- Dimension -b- = 10 mm minimum
7 Dimension -a-
- Dimension -a- = 50 ± 5 mm
8 Mounting
- Replace if damaged
- Note installed position
9 Bracket mounting Bolt
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
10 Rear muffler
11 Front muffler
12 Retaining ring
- Replace if damaged
13 Retainer
