Removing/Installing

Removing
- Open pop-up (camper) roof, remove front bedboard and both cushions







- Pull piping -3- and canvas cord -1- out of lower rail 2.







- Remove rear hex bolt -1- from -2- left and right.







- Remove hex bolts -1- from support struts -2- left and right.
- Place support struts -2- on roof frame.
- Lower front of camper roof to approx. 300 mm (11.8 in.) and support.







- Remove hex bolts -1- from camper roof opening bracket, left and right.


NOTES:
- Mark position of shims.
- Carefully remove camper roof with three technicians.


Installing
- Install in reverse sequence, note the following:







- Insert canvas cord -1- in rail -2-, use auxiliary tool VAG 1474/5 to press piping -3- into lower rail.
