Removing


NOTE: The upper frame is damaged when removing roof vent.







- Pry off caps -arrows- and remove eleven recessed screws.
- Remove crank -1- and lower frame -2-.







- Press out upper frame -1- and vent cover -2- forcefully in an upward direction.

Installing


CAUTION: Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for latest information.


- Cut off excess bonding material to approx. 1.0 mm (0.039 in.) on roof outer surface where upper frame rests


NOTES: Remove excess bonding material, prime corresponding area with primer D 009 60a


CAUTION: Do not prime cuts surface material.







- Clean upper frame (new part) -1 - in contact area
- Apply primer D 009 600 to cleaned surface, allow at least 10 minutes flash-off time. Apply bonding material AKD 476 KD5 05.
- Insert upper frame in roof cut-out.
- Hold lower frame with drill holes in wood frame and in upper frame flush under roof trim and fasten all parts.
- Install crank, caps and screen netting.
