APPLICABILITY:
INTRODUCTION:
Some vehicles equipped with a Display Audio Radio (Head Unit) Assembly may exhibit a condition where the radio presets are blank and displayed in the wrong location on the Audio Screen. An improved radio has been developed to correct this condition.
NOTE
Refer to the Parts Information section for Head Unit identification information.
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
This bulletin applies to:
^ All 2012 MY Prius and Prius PHV vehicles.
^ 2012 MY Camry Camry HV Prius V vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Verify radio presets are blank. (Refer to Figures 2 and 3 for condition identification.)
^ If radio presets are NOT blank STOP! This bulletin does not apply.
^ If radio presets are blank, order a replacement radio through the applicable radio exchange program per the Toyota Warranty Policy and Procedures.
2. Remove the original radio.
Refer to the applicable model and model year Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:
^ 2012 Camry / Camry HV / Prius / Prius PHV / Prius V:
Audio/Visual/Telematics - Audio/Video - "Audio/Video: Radio Receiver Removal"
3. Install the updated radio.
Refer to the applicable model and model year Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:
^ 2012 Camry / Camry HV / Prius / Prius PHV / Prius V:
Audio/Visual/Telematics - Audio/Video - "Audio/Video: Radio Receiver Installation"
4. Confirm presets are stored properly and display as expected.
