DESCRIPTION

The blind spot monitor sensor receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU via CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs of the vehicle stability control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.

NG -- REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE (for Vehicle Stability Control System) Vehicle Stability Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Blind Spot Monitor System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
