C1582 - Assist Map Number Mismatch

DESCRIPTION

When an incorrect ECM or an incorrect brake actuator assembly is installed after the assist map has been recorded in the power steering ECU assembly, then DTC C1582 is stored because the data does not match the vehicle specifications.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs and confirm that there are no problems in the CAN communication system Diagnosis System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK ECM

(a) Check if the correct ECM is installed.

OK:

The correct ECM is installed.

NG -- REPLACE ECM Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Check if the correct brake actuator assembly is installed.

OK:

The correct brake actuator assembly is installed.

NG -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
