C1581 - Assist Map Number Un-Writing

DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU assembly outputs this DTC when it determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning).

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING

(a) Perform the assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Result:





*: Perform the assist map writing again if DTC C1581 is still output even after the assist map writing is performed once or twice.

B -- PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING AGAIN Programming and Relearning

3. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Diagnosis System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

HINT
If the CAN communication system DTC is output, first troubleshoot the CAN communication system malfunction, then perform the assist map writing again Programming and Relearning.

4. CHECK FOR DTC (SFI SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs of the SFI system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
