B2336 - Immobiliser Communication ID Unmatched

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the remote engine starter ID between the remote engine starter ECU and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is unmatched.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Before replacing the remote engine starter ECU, refer to Registration of the remote engine starter system Remote Engine Starter System.
* Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to Registration of the engine immobiliser system Engine Immobilizer System (w/ Smart Key System).

PROCEDURE

1. REGISTER REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ID

(a) Register the remote engine starter ID Remote Engine Starter System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTC Remote Engine Starter System.

(b) Perform the remote engine starter operation.

(c) Check for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2336 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ECU

OK -- END (REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ID WAS NOT REGISTERED CORRECTLY)

3. REPLACE REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ECU

(a) Temporarily replace the remote engine starter ECU with a new one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. REGISTER REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ID

(a) Register the remote engine starter ID Remote Engine Starter System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTC Remote Engine Starter System.

(b) Perform the remote engine starter operation.

(c) Check for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2336 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) Removal

OK -- END (REMOTE ENGINE STARTER ECU WAS DEFECTIVE)
