Disassembly

1NZ-FE FUEL: FUEL PUMP: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

(a) Disconnect the connector of the fuel pump harness.





(b) Disconnect the fuel tube.





(c) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel filter and fuel pump from the fuel sub-tank.





(d) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel suction support from the fuel filter.





(e) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws, and remove the suction filter with fuel pump from the fuel filter.





NOTICE:
* Do not damage the fuel filter and suction filter.
* Do not remove the suction filter from the fuel pump.
* Do not use either the fuel pump or the suction filter if the suction filter is removed from the fuel pump.
(f) Disconnect the fuel pump harness.





(g) Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer.





3. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the pressure regulator assembly.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the fuel filter.

(b) Remove the 2 O-rings.
