ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: BACK DOOR SUPPORT (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure described below is for the LH side.
1. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a screwdriver with its wrapped in protective tape, remove the 2 stop rings and stay.

NOTICE:
* Do not touch the rod of the stay with gloves to avoid fibers from adhering.
* When foreign matter adheres to the rod, it prevents the rod from moving smoothly and reduces its holding power.
HINT
Support the back door by hand while removing the door stay.
