FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback)

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Refer to Restraint Systems Service Precautions before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).

NOTE: Always use "Torx" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

HINT: The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. for Driver Side:




1. Disconnect the seat position sensor connector.
2. Remove the buckle switch connector.
3. Remove the 2 wiring harness clamps.




4. Remove the wire harness from the claw of the front seat cushion shield.
5. Remove the bolt and the front seat inner belt.

b. for Front Passenger Side:




1. Remove the buckle switch connector.
2. Remove the 2 wiring harness clamps.




3. Remove the wiring harness from the claw of the front seat cushion shield.
4. Remove the bolt and the front seat inner belt.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
a. for Driver Side:




1. Install the front seat inner belt with the bolt.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not place the front seat inner belt over the convex areas of the front seat adjuster frame.

2. Install the wire harness into the claw of the front seat cushion shield.




3. Install the 2 wiring harness clamps.
4. Install the buckle switch connector.
5. Connect the seat position sensor connector.

b. for Front Passenger Side:




1. Install the front seat inner belt with the bolt.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

NOTE: Do not place the front seat inner belt over the convex areas of the front seat adjuster frame.

2. Install the wiring harness onto the claw of the front seat cushion shield.




3. Install the 2 wiring harness clamps.
4. Install the buckle switch connector.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
