OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR (For Hatchback)

Outer Rear View Mirror (For Hatchback):

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure described below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
3. REMOVE DOOR ARMREST COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER (w/ Power Window)
5. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER (w/o Power Window)
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY





7. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Power mirror: Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 nuts, disengage the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror.





8. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER
a. Apply protective tape to the lower part of the mirror body.
b. Press down the upper part of the mirror and tilt the mirror.
c. Insert a moulding remover into the 2 clip installation positions on the lower part of the mirror to disengage the 2 clips.
d. Remove the mirror by pulling it downward.





e. Disengage the 4 claws from the inside of the mirror body.





f. Push the upper part of the mirror cover forward to tilt it, and then disengage the claw on the lower part to remove the outer mirror cover.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER





a. Engage the claw on the lower part of the mirror cover.
b. Engage the claw on the upper part of the mirror cover and install it.
c. After installing the outer mirror cover, check that there are no gaps between the cover and the mirror body.

NOTICE: If there is a gap between the cover and the mirror body, it may cause noise during driving.





d. Engage the 2 claws of the outer rear view mirror.
e. Engage the 2 clips and install the mirror.





2. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
a. Engage the claw, then install the outer rear view mirror with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

b. w/ Power mirror: Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER (w/ Power Window)
5. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER (w/ o Power Window)
6. INSTALL DOOR ARMREST COVER
7. INSTALL DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
