Map Light: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
b. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and battery negative (-) lead to terminal 3, then check that the illumination comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.
OK: Illumination comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
c. Connect the battery positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and battery negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the illumination comes on when the switch is in the ON position.
OK: Illumination comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the light assembly.
