Auxiliary Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE C




a. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.




b. Slide the hose clip and then disconnect the heater water hose C.

NOTE:
- Do not apply excessive force to the heater water hose C.
- Prepare a drain pan or cloth for when the cooling water leaks.

2. REMOVE HEATER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and then disconnect the heater water pump.




c. Slide the hose clip and then disconnect the heater water hose A.
d. Remove the heater water pump.

NOTE:
- Do not apply excessive force to the heater water hose A.
- Prepare a drain pan or cloth for when the cooling water leaks.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HEATER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY




a. Install the heater water hose A with the hose clip.

NOTE:
- Ensure that the hose groove faces upwards.
- Install the hose clip in the direction shown in the illustration.




b. Install the heater water pump with the 2 bolts.

NOTE: Tighten them in the order indicated in the illustration.

c. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL HEATER WATER HOSE C




a. Install the heater water hose C with the hose clip.

NOTE:
- Install the hose marking facing upwards.
- Install the hose clip in the direction shown in the illustration.




b. Connect the wire harness and attach the clamp.

3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
4. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
