Automatically Shifted Manual Transmission/Transaxle: Service Precautions

REDUCE PRESSURE INSIDE ACCUMULATOR TO 0 BAR

NOTE:
Before removing parts shown from the body, do the operation of reducing the accumulator pressure.
- HPU assembly
- GSA assembly
- Shift stroke sensor
- Select stroke sensor
- Clutch stroke sensor
- Sub-wire harness
- Transmission assembly
- Clutch disc and cover

a. Put the vehicle under the following condition:
- Shift the lever into the N position
- Ignition switch OFF
- Put the vehicle on the horizontal place

b. Remove the battery.
c. Remove the engine room R/B cover.




d. Remove the HPU relay from the engine room R/B.
e. Install the battery and connect the battery terminals.




f. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
g. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
h. Select REDUC ACCM PRS on the ACTIVE TEST menu.
i. Check the pressure inside accumulator by using hand-held tester.

HINT:
- After this operation, the display is ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE and the amount of the accumulator pressure is 0 bar. The operation of reducing the accumulator pressure is completed.
- For details, refer to the hand-held tester operation manual.

j. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative terminal.
