Recall 02T015000: Firestone Tire Recall

DEFECT: Certain P195/65R15 tires produced for use on certain 2003 model year Toyota Corolla S and LE vehicles may develop a "raised tread block" and cause a "helicopter type" noise. Continued use of a tire with this condition may lead to a localized "chunk out" of tread material, and possibly result in a vehicle crash. The DOT tire identification numbers for the recalled tires are W2C6T001402 and W2C6T001502.


REMEDY: Bridgestone/Firestone dealers will replace these tires. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began Sept. 10, 2002. Owners should contact BFS at 1-800-367-3872.
