DISASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
^ Disassembling and reassembling should be conducted on a clean vinyl sheet or mat, or aluminum tray.
^ Make the valve slide through the valve hole by its own weight. Do not forcibly pull out the valve using needle-nose pliers. When having difficulty In removing it, slant and shake the valve body or use a magnet hand.
^ Do not place the disassembled parts directly on a metal work bench or waste cloth.
^ Do not use dropped parts.
^ Make sure that no burr is identified before assembling.





1. CHECK PRIMARY REGULATOR VALVE POSITION
Write down the relative position of the primary regulator valve sleeve, plug and pin.

NOTICE: Because the line pressure is changed by positions of the pin and the groove in the sleeve end, make sure to check the position.

2. REMOVE SOLENOID VALVE





a. Remove the 5 bolts and 5 solenoid valves.





b. Remove the 1 bolts, upper valve body cover and gasket, from the upper valve body.





c. Remove the bolt, check ball cover and 2 check balls.
3. REMOVE LOWER VALVE BODY





a. Remove the upper valve side bolt.





b. Turn over the valve body.
c. Remove the 7 bolts.





d. Remove the lower valve body with plate.





e. Remove the plate from the lower valve body.

NOTICE: Be careful not to drop the check balls.

REASSEMBLY
1. ASSEMBLE VALVE BODY





a. Install the check balls to the upper and lower valve bodies.
b. Install the plate to the lower valve body.





c. Install the lower valve body with plate to the upper valve body.





d. Install the 7 bolts.
Torque: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)
Bolt length: 41 mm (1.614 inch)





e. Turn over the valve body.
f. Install the upper valve body side bolt.
Torque: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)
2. INSTALL CHECK BALL AND SOLENOID VALVE





a. Install the 2 pressure relief balls, cover and bolt.
Torque: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)





b. Install the upper valve body cover, gasket and 1 bolts to the upper valve body.
Torque:
Bolt A: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)
Bolt B: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)
Bolt C: 6.6 Nm (67 kgf-cm, 58 inch lbs.)
Bolt D: 6.6 Nm (67 kgf-cm, 58 inch lbs.)

HINT: Each bolt length is indicated.

Bolt A: 41 mm (1.614 inch)
Bolt B: 30 mm (1.181 inch)
Bolt C: 15 mm (0.591 inch)
Bolt D: 10 mm (0.394 inch)





3. INSTALL SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE
Install the 5 solenoid valves with the 5 bolts.
Torque:
Bolt A: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.)
Bolt B: 6.6 Nm (67 kgf-cm, 58 inch lbs.)
Bolt length:
Bolt A: 45 mm (1.77 inch)
Bolt B: 12 mm (0.45 inch)





4. CHECK PRIMARY REGULATOR VALVE POSITION
Make sure that the primary regulator valve is positioned in the same place where it was removed.
