REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL





2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE
a. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 nuts, bolts, and gasket and disconnect the center exhaust pipe from the front exhaust pipe.
c. Remove the 2 nuts, gaskets and center exhaust pipe from the tailpipe.





3. REMOVE STRUT ROD
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the parking brake cable.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, nuts and strut rod.

NOTICE: Loosen the bolt since the nut cannot be rotated.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Remove the 2 nuts and suspension arm washer.





b. Remove the nut, washer and No. 2 lower suspension arm.





5. REMOVE STABILIZER BAR BRACKETS
a. Remove the 2 bolts and stabilizer bar bracket from the suspension member.
b. Employ the same manner described to the other side.
6. REMOVE NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Support the suspension member with a jack.





b. Remove the 4 nuts, 2 bolts and 8 suspension member stoppers.
c. Lower the suspension member.





d. Remove the 2 bolts, washers and No. 1 lower suspension arm.

DISASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Loosen the 2 lock nuts.





b. Turn the adjusting tube and disassemble the No. 2 lower suspension arm.
c. Remove the 2 lock nuts.

REASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Install the 2 lock nuts.





b. Turn the adjusting tube and assemble the No. 2 lower suspension arm.





HINT: When assembling the No. 2 lower suspension arm, try to make sure that the lengths of A and B shown in the illustration are the same.

Maximum difference: 3.0 mm (0.118 inch)





c. Adjust the No. 2 lower suspension arm length by turning the adjusting tube.
Arm length: 512.3 mm (20.169 inch)
d. Temporarily tighten the 2 lock nuts.

HINT: After adjusting the rear wheel alignment, torque the lock nuts.

Torque: 56 Nm (570 kgf-cm, 41 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Install the 2 bolts, washers and No. 1 lower suspension arm.

HINT: Face the paint mark to the rearward.

b. Raise the suspension member.





c. Install the 8 suspension member stoppers, 2 bolts and 4 nuts.
Torque:
A: 51 Nm (520 kgf-cm, 38 ft. lbs.)
B: 38 Nm (390 kgf-cm, 28 ft. lbs.)
2. INSTALL STABILIZER BAR BRACKETS
Install the 2 stabilizer bar brackets and 4 bolts to the suspension member.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)





3. INSTALL NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Install the No. 2 lower suspension arm, washer and nut.
Torque: 181 Nm (1,850 kgf-cm, 134 ft. lbs.)

HINT:
^ Face the paint mark to the rearward.
^ After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.

b. Install the suspension arm washer and 2 nuts.
Torque: 181 Nm (1,850 kgf-cm, 134 ft. lbs.)

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.





4. INSTALL STRUT ROD
Torque: 113 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE: Torque the bolt since the nut cannot be rotated.

HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt.

5. CONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
6. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE
Torque: 56 Nm (570 kgf-cm, 41 ft. lbs.)
7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
8. CHECK REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
