Drive Belt: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




REMOVE DRIVE BELT
a. Loosen the tension pulley lock nut.
b. Loosen the drive belt tension by adjusting bolt and remove the drive belt.

INSTALLATION




INSTALL DRIVE BELT
a. Tighten the idle pulley look nut temporally.

Torque: 2.5 N.m (25 kgf.cm, 22 in.lbf)

b. Install the drive belt.
c. Apply drive belt tension by adjusting bolt.
Drive belt tension:
New belt: 110 ± 11 lbf
Used belt: 67 ± 10 lbf

d. Tighten the tension pulley look bolt.

Torque: 40 N.m (410 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf)
