Shift Lock System

INSPECTION





1. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK ECU
a. Remove the shift lock ECU.
b. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
If there is continuity, replace the shift lock ECU.
2. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID
a. Remove the shift lock solenoid.
b. Inspect the shift lock solenoid operation.





1. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals. If there is no continuity, replace the shift lock solenoid.





2. Check the solenoid operating sound when connecting the battery voltage across the terminals. If the solenoid does not operate, replace the shift lock solenoid.
