Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening

1ZZ-FE Engine
Step 1 49 Nm (36 ft.lb)
Step 2 90 degrees

2ZZ-GE Engine
Step 1 35 Nm (26 ft.lb)
Step 2 180 degrees

NOTE: If any cylinder head bolt is broken or deformed, replace it. Apply a light coat if engine oil on the threads and under the heads of the cylinder head bolts.
