Blower Motor Resistor: Testing and Inspection

BLOWER RESISTOR

INSPECTION
1. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT




2. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and blower resistor.







3. Manual A/C:
INSPECT BLOWER RESISTOR RESISTANCE
If resistance is not as specified, replace the blower resistor.




4. Auto A/C:
INSPECT BLOWER RESISTOR RESISTANCE
Measure resistance between terminals 2 and 4.

Standard resistance: 1.8-2.2 Ohms

If resistance is not as specified, replace the blower resistor.




5. INSTALL BLOWER RESISTOR
a. Install the blower resistor with the 2 screws.
b. Connect the connector.
