Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

ON-VEHICLE REPAIR
1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS





3. REMOVE LH AND RH OIL SEAL
Using SST, pull out the oil seal.
SST 09308-00010





4. INSTALL LH OIL SEAL
a. Using SST, drive in new oil seal until its surface flushes with the LH side case surface.
SST 09350-32014 (09351-32130, 09351-32150)
Oil seal drive in depth: 0 ± 0.5 mm (0 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the lip of LH oil seal with MP grease.





5. INSTALL RH OIL SEAL
a. Using SST, drive in new oil seal until its surface flushes with the RH side case surface.
SST 09350-32014 (09351-32130, 09351-32150)
Oil seal drive in depth: 0 ± 0.5 mm (0 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the lip of RH oil seal with MP grease.
6. INSTALL LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS
7. FILL AND CHECK FLUID LEVEL. Refer to Automatic Transmission/Transaxle; Testing and Inspection; Procedures Troubleshooting.
