Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
ON-VEHICLE REPAIR1. DRAIN ATF
2. REMOVE LH AND RH ENGINE UNDER COVERS
3. REMOVE LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS
4. REMOVE LH AND RH OIL SEAL
Using SST, drive out the oil seal.
SST 09308-00010
5. INSTALL LH SIDE OIL SEAL
a. Using SST, drive in a new oil seal.
SST 09350-32014 (09351-32111, 09351-32130)
Oil seal drive in depth: 5.3 ± 0.5 mm (0.209 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the lip of oil seal with MP grease.
6. INSTALL RH SIDE OIL SEAL
a. Using SST, drive in a new oil seal until SST makes contact with the case surface.
SST 09350-32014 (09351-32130, 09351-32150)
Oil seal drive in depth: 3.1 ± 0.5 mm (0.122 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
7. INSTALL LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFTS
8. FILL AND CHECK FLUID LEVEL Refer to Automatic Transmission/Transaxle; Testing and Inspection; Procedures Troubleshooting.
9. INSTALL LH AND RH ENGINE UNDER COVERS
