REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)

2. DISCONNECT EXHAUST CENTER PIPE

Torque:
Exhaust front pipe x Exhaust center pipe: 32 Nm (330 kgf-cm, 24 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust center pipe x Exhaust tailpipe: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)





3. REMOVE STRUT ROD
Remove the 2 bolts, nuts and strut rod.

Torque: 91 Nm (930 kgf-cm, 67 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt (body side) and nut (carrier side).





4. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Remove the nut and washer, and disconnect the No. 2 lower suspension arm from the suspension member.

Torque: 125 Nm (1,226 kgf-cm, 89 ft. lbs.)





HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.

b. Remove the nut, washer and No. 2 lower suspension arm from the axle carrier.

Torque: 125 Nm (1,226 kgf-cm, 89 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.
^ Face the left hand thread to the carrier side.
^ After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Support the suspension member with a jack.
b. Remove the 6 bolts from the suspension member.

Torque:
A: 74 Nm (760 kgf-cm, 55 ft. lbs.)
B: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)





c. Remove the bolt and washer, and disconnect the No. 1 lower suspension arm from the axle carrier.
d. Lower the suspension member, remove the bolt, washer and No. 1 lower suspension arm.

DISASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM





a. Loosen the 2 lock nuts.





b. Turn the adjusting tube and disassemble the No. 2 lower suspension arm.
c. Remove the 2 lock nuts.

REASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Install the 2 lock nuts.





b. Turn the adjusting tube and assemble the No. 2 lower suspension arm.





HINT: When assembling the No. 2 lower suspension arm, try to make sure that the lengths of A and B shown in the illustration are the same.

Maximum difference: 3.0 mm (0.118 inch)





c. Adjust the No. 2 lower suspension arm length by turning the adjusting tube.

Arm length: 502.0 ± 1.5 mm (19.764 ± 0.059 inch)

d. Temporarily tighten the 2 lock nuts.

HINT: After adjusting the rear wheel alignment, torque the lock nuts.

Torque: 56 Nm (570 kgf-cm, 41 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation Is In the reverse order of removal.

HINT: After installation, check the rear wheel alignment.
