Front Door Window Glass: Adjustments
FRONT DOOR1. ADJUST FRONT DOOR IN FORWARD/REARWARD AND VERTICAL DIRECTIONS
a. Using SST, adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge bolts.

b. Using SST, tighten the loosened bolts again.

Torque: 28 N.m (290 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf)
2. ADJUST FRONT DOOR IN LEFT/RIGHT AND VERTICAL DIRECTIONS
a. Using SST, adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.

b. Using SST, tighten the loosened bolts again.

Torque: 28 N.m (290 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf)
HINT: Substitute the standard bolt for the centering bolt.
3. ADJUST FRONT DOOR LOCK STRIKER
a. Check that the door fit and door lock linkages are adjusted correctly.
b. Loosen the striker mounting screws.
c. Using a plastic hammer, tap the striker to adjust it.
CAUTION: Do not tap the striker too hard.
d. Tighten the loosened screws again.
Torque: 26 N.m (260 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)
4. ADJUST FRONT DOOR GLASS
a. Adjust the upper part of the glass to the inside/outside.
1. Remove the 2 lower plate bolts and lower plate.
2. Adjust the glass by turning the setting nut.
3. Reinstall the lower plate and 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf)
4. In case the glass does not fit in the mirror bracket:
- Loosen the lower nut of the mirror bracket.
- Using a hexagon wrench, adjust the mirror bracket to in/out direction by turning the stud bolt.
Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf)
b. Adjust the lower part of the glass to the inside/outside.
1. Loosen the 2 nuts for the window regulator.
2. Using a shim, adjust the glass to in/out direction.
Shim thickness:
1.0 mm (0.039 in.)
2.0 mm (0.079 in.)
3. Tighten the loosened nuts again.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
c. Adjust the glass in position (forward/rearward) and attitude.
1. Loosen the 3 bolts of the carrier plate and adjust the glass.
2. Tighten the loosened bolts again.
Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf)
d. Adjust the glass in position (vertical) and attitude (when glass fully closed).
Adjust the door window upper stops.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
