Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.
Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

Specified amount: 650 ± 50 g (22.93 ± 1.76 oz.)

2. REMOVE CONDENSER FAN




3. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER MOUNTINGS
Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 upper mountings.







4. REMOVE LIQUID TUBE AND DISCHARGE HOSE
Remove 2 bolts and both tubes.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.

HINT: Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.

5. REMOVE CONDENSER UPPER MOUNTINGS




a. Remove the 2 nuts from condenser upper mountings.
b. Push the radiator toward engine.
c. Push the condenser toward radiator.




d. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 condenser upper mountings.

6. REMOVE CONDENSER
Push the condenser toward radiator and pull it upward.

HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.
If condenser was replaced, add compressor oil to the compressor.

Add: 40 cc (1.4 ft. oz.)
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
