Cylinder Head
TIGHTENING SEQUENCE/SPECIFICATIONSCylinder Head Installation:
Install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts and plate washers, in several passes, in the sequence shown.
Torque to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.)
If any of the cylinder head bolts do not meet the torque specification, replace the cylinder head bolt.
NOTE: Before making the final pass, mark the front of the cylinder head bolt head with paint.
Final Pass: Turn the head bolts an additional 90°.
NOTE: Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
COMPONENT SPECIFICATIONS
Spark Plug Tube To Cylinder Head: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
Cover To Head: 44 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)
