C1 CLUTCH & ACCUMULATOR CHANGES - A242L/A244E ATM
C1 Clutch and C1 Accumulator Springs have been changed as follows on Tercel and Paseo Automatic Transmissions to improve shift engagement between "N" to "D" ranges.
Changes to the C2 Clutch are as follows:
^ C2 Clutch Hub portion of C1 Clutch Drum (EL53) changed from machining process to press forming process.
^ C1 Piston Check Valve (EL53) staking process increased from 2 to 3 stakes.
^ C1 Clutch Return Springs increased from 18 to 20 (EL53).
^ C1 Friction Disc material changed (EL53/EL54).
^ C1 Accumulator Outer Spring length increased (EL53/EL54).
^ C1 Accumulator Inner Spring eliminated (EL53/EL43).
CLUTCH COMPONENTS:

C1 Clutch Drum (EL53, A242L ATM) - From Machining to Press Forming.
C1 Piston (EL53, A242L ATM) - Staking process increased from 2 to 3 stakes.
C1 Return Spring (EL53, A242L ATM) - Number of Springs increased from 18 to 20.
C1 Friction Disc (EL53/EL54) - Material Changed.
C1 Accumulator - Outer spring length increased and Inner spring eliminated.
